7th Grade Art Projects: Painting, Designing, Crafting, And Drawing

Help your 7th-grade students reach new artistic heights by taking basic art concepts and various art styles and making them their own. Your students’ creativity will flourish and their skill set will be strengthened as they take on these various art projects. Watch as your students produce what looks like complex activities using simple methods and basic supplies.

These projects can be taken and adapted to suit not only the artistic abilities of your learners but can also take their interests into consideration. You can do most, if not all, of the listed tasks using materials you probably already have.

1. Collective Rock Painting

Have your students contribute to the collective by working together to create this mesmerizing natural masterpiece. You could even expand this assignment by including other classes or even the entire school! Get your students to go on a hike prior to doing this to pick their own rock.

Have your students take name writing to the next level but create pictures of things they love out of the letters in their name. This lesson could easily turn into a lesson on shading if you want your students to create a 3D letter effect.
