Our menu is inspired by the history and culture of the Balearics. Chef Alexander Larrea takes inspiration from his childhood with dishes like Secreto Iberico with red onion & sumac and Turbot a la Plancha with spring onions & caper water, and he pushes the boundaries of Ibicenco cuisine with dishes like Courgette Babaganoush served with feta, spicy pinenuts & pickled strawberries and Sepionet & Crayfish Risotto with black garlic alioli & saffron. Cocktails are at the heart of the Experimental ethos. Our menu at Experimental Beach is a twist on what we know best. A touch of eccentric whimsy with a nod to the classics. An Old Cuban to toast the setting sun, a Pineapple Express with a friend, a Suzette a L’Anis to end an cosy dinner. And of course, cocktails may be our heart and soul, but wine is never forgotten. Our list leans heavily on small Spanish producers, alongside our favourite domaines across France.

Experimental Beach is a restaurant and bar on the water across from the airport. The food is really good -- the seabass in salt was wow -- and the service and vibe are outstanding. Experimental Beach is quintessential Ibiza. If you can get a reservation, go!

My 4 stars is only bc we were expecting more a beach club vibe and unfortunately not only the music was super low for the time we spent there but they were playing classical Spanish other than that service, views and cocktails were amazing highly recommend to watch the sunset there and get their amazing burrata

Great location. Nice friendly staff. And good selection of drinks and food. . Clean toilets!!!

This place is awesome. At first your thinking... " Where is this cab driver taking me?" It really looks like uncharted roads. Then ... when you get there it like "WOW". The vibe is upscale yet truly relaxed. The food is 4 stars. The beach view is incredible. This place gets busy. Be sure to make reservations; even for the beach chairs.... you want front row.

Beautiful delicious and the shop inside has an array of beautiful clothing! Off the beaten path gets quite busy at sunset show up early or make a reservation!

Nice location but absolutely missing the Ibiza vibe. Nice place for wannabees. Staff is arrogant, food and drinks are not value for money. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

Nice place to see the sun set. Food was good. But improvement needed with waiters' hospitality. Other than that great view, good food and off the beaten track. Make sure you have arranged your transportation home.

Having spent at least 2 vacations every year for the past 20 years going to Ibiza, it is always a pleasure to discover a hidden gem. This was the case a few years ago for Cap D'es Falco / Experimental Beach. Hidden in a nature reserve, you have to navigate the salt planes of Ses Salinas. Don't be deterred, it will be worth your effort. The cool owners ( from Paris ) have restyled it since about 3 years and given it a second breath. The Location is breath taking. You are surrounded by nothing but nature, wavy hills, beach ( watch out you have to brave rocks to get to the water ), a beautiful sea and one of the most gorgeous sunsets on Ibiza. The food is delicious ( try the Sea bass in salt crust ) combined with a generous amount of Rose wine. A many bottles of 6 l have passed our way there. It is ideal to sunbath too while enjoying one of their numerous cocktails. I do recommend visiting this place only from end of April till mid May and again in September, if you really want a relaxing spot, as with all the other cool places, it will be packed and you will have to reserve in advance. If you are so lucky to be able to visit it during the calmer periods, you will have a magical day !! PS. Don't be shy to just give your IPhone or IPod to the DJ and ask him to play your tunes. We once had the whole place to ourselves on a Saturday evening in May for a bachelorette party and danced until we dropped and this all with our own music. It is ideal for weddings too. PS. I organized a wedding there and it was the BEST !! So quite simply... go forth and enjoy Experimental Beach next time you are in Ibiza !!!

A wonderful spot wth great food and a breathtaking view! A very relaxed atmosphere. We will be back on our next trip for sure! It's also a great place to wait for your flight, from there, you can see your plane arriving!

Laid back chic

This special place offers a natural corner of the Ibiza, untouched by development. Reached via a bumpy country track that runs along the edge of the ancient salt flats, the understated elegance of this hidden beach bar on one of the quiet, if a bit stony, beaches of the nature park, appeals to a less boisterous crowd – it’s barefoot elegance and mellow music. The aesthetic moves away from the ubiquitous artisan wicker and bleached wood of much of the island’s beach bars and instead plays with an understated, nautical theme, with powder blue and turquoise cushions, white painted timber and a bar made from an old boat. The young team match their good looks with professionalism and friendliness, providing relaxed yet attentive service throughout the day & evening.

Experimental Beach is open for lunch & dinner, as well as tapas and sharing plates to accompany the drinks and cocktails.

So, book a beach side sunbed to while away the day. For the evening, the terrace is prepared with benches, and Acapulco chairs ready for guests to enjoy the sunset.

Mixology Magic

Since this is the latest chic creation from Experimental Cocktail Club, expect superb mixology. Try Penicilina, the perfect antidote for a busy day exploring Ibiza, it mixes tequila, mezcal, ginger cordiale, agave syrup with lime juice and spice tincture for an intoxicating end to the day. Or maybe the refreshing Belza, made with Brick Gin infused with pink pepper, orange blossom, cucumber, green tea, and grapefruit syrup, as well as pineapple and lime juices.

As the sun sets behind the mountains, you’ll be tempted to stay for a dinner; try the burnt aubergine carpaccio salad with tahini and smoked yogurt followed by spicy squid with Ibizan sobrasada and harissa. Cuisine is simple, allowing the local organic produce to make the impact.

This is a place to enjoy the natural beauty of Ibiza, its warm sunsets, and friendly visitors without accompanying Balearic beats, instead enjoy sundowners and Mediterranean bites to a more mellow soundtrack.
